Before setting up a domain
Complete website setup and deploy the website first. After setup and deployment are completed, you will receive an email with the DNS records needed for your custom domain.
If you add or change your custom domain after your website is already deployed, redeploy the website so the domain settings are applied.
Add DNS records
- 1Redeploy the website if you added or changed the custom domain after the website was already live.
- 2Open the email containing the required DNS records.
- 3Sign in to your domain registrar or DNS provider.
- 4Add the CNAME and A record details exactly as shown in the email.
- 5Save the DNS changes.
Get help if DNS is unfamiliar
Notes
- Do not guess DNS records.
- After redeployment, follow the DNS instructions sent by email and add the required CNAME and A records in your domain registrar DNS settings.
- If you are not comfortable changing DNS settings, share the email with your domain or IT support person.
